Ndebele
Ndebele is one of eleven officially recognized languages of South Africa. It is a Southeastern Bantu language, spoken by approximately 2 million people. Interestingly enough, the amaNdebele people once had their own nation in northeast South Africa in the late twentieth century. Throughout their history, they have often been discouraged from speaking Ndebele. However, the language is currently alive and well.
