C9H6NOH White powder that darkens when exposed to light; slightly soluble in water, dissolves in ethanol, acetone, and benzene; used to prepare fungicides and to separate metals by precipitation. Also known as 8-hydroxyquinoline; oxyquinoline; 8-quinolinol.
