C₃₇H₄₀N₂O₆ An alkaloid obtained from the root of Berberis vulgaris; a white, crystalline powder with a melting point of 202–214_C; soluble in water, chloroform, benzene, alcohol, and ether; used in medicine. Also known as vinetine.
