C6H4OHCOOCH3 A colorless, yellow, or reddish liquid, slightly soluble in water, boiling at 222.2_C, with an odor of wintergreen; used in medicine and perfumery, and as a solvent for cellulose derivatives. Also known as betula oil; gaultheria oil; wintergreen oil.
