A professional who promotes sale of group or season tickets for sports or other entertainment events. Respnsibilities include:

  • Telephones, visits, or writes to organizations, such as chambers of commerce, corporate-employee-recreation clubs, social clubs, and professional groups, to persuade them to purchase group tickets or season tickets to sports or other entertainment events, such as baseball, horseracing, or stage plays.
  • Quotes group-ticket rates, arranges for sale of tickets and seating for group on specific date(s), and obtains payment.
  • May arrange for club to sponsor sports event, such as one of races at horseracing track.
